He was predeceased by: his sister Sherry Achey; his brothers-in-law, Douglas Riley and Rae Leighow; and his nephew Jeremy Riley. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Riley Vought; his children, Matthew Vought, Lishana Damico (Roy Forney) and Brian Shobert (Jena); his grandchildren, Valentino Damico, Jeniah Shobert, Riley Reed, Jackson Reed, Gabrielle Albert, Ethan Reed, Trey Vought and Brienna Shobert; his sister Nancy Leighow; his nephew Larry Bohner (Missy); his niece Christine Beasley; and his siblings-in-law, Connie Riley, Tracy Cornelius (Chadd) and Mikel Riley (Sharon).
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Life Lutheran Church (351 Buckwalter Pkwy, Bluffton, SC 29910).
