He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Connie Ray; his children, Michael Jr. and Tracy Labat Porter; his children-in-law, Edward Porter and Christine Tromans; his parents, Victor Labat and Jeanne Labat; his brothers, Victor and Joseph Labat; his sisters-in-law, Deidre and Dorothy; and also, Franco and Rocky (Stella). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
