He was predeceased by : his parents, Julia Grizzard Scott and George Harris Scott; and his sisters, Glenda McNear and Linda Scott. He is survived by : his daughters, Amber Scott and Emily Scott; his granddaughter Marley Rae Scott; his sister June Simoneaux (Lee); and his aunts, Barbra Scott and Laverene Scott.
