He was predeceased by: his parents, Battey Nicholson Coffield and Richard A. Coffield, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Beth; his aunt Myrtle; his sons, Rob Griffeth and Simon Griffeth (Carrie); his grandsons, Robert Griffeth and Franklin Mathos-Griffeth; and his siblings, Mike Coffield (Martha) and Frances Coffield Thrower (Howard). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
