He is survived by: his wife Christy Burke Dove; his children, Henry "Hank" Cumming Leonard and Rebecca "Janie" Jane Leonard; his stepchildren, Trey Patrick Dove (Jessica), Taylor Lloyd Dove (Caroline) and Kendel Gower Dove; and his siblings, Ann Leonard Ribock (John), Dennis Michael Leonard, III (Jeannine), Catherine "Cay" Leonard Hickey (Jud), John "Gerry" Gerald Leonard (Stella), James Grady Leonard (Amanda), Thomas Joseph Leonard and Brian Timothy Leonard (Mary). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A vigil service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church (1420 Monte Sano Ave, Augusta, GA 30904).
