He is survived by: his wife Beverly Miller Atkins; his children, Daniel Lincoln Atkins of Lenore, NC, Timothy David Atkins (Nora) of Charlotte, NC, David Michael Atkins (Natalie) of Owings Mills, MD and Terri Wynn Atkins of Greenville, SC; his grandchildren, Summer Grace Atkins, Morgan Paige Atkins, Brouke Danielle Atkins, Christopher James Hensley (Amber) and Evan Kent Hensley (Kayla); and his great grandchildren, Callen, Bryce, Levi and Emily Elizabeth Hensley.
