He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Mills and Sally Dell Pierce Mills; his children, Carol Mills Anderson, Eddie Mills and Greg Brice; his siblings, Daisy Bell Wright, Catherine Mills, John Lee Mills and Randall Mills; and his extended family, Josephine Mills and Norman Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Cooper (Marion) of Macedonia, Rhonda Keller (Kevin) of Pinopolis, John E. Mills (Jennifer) of Bonneau, Kenny Mills of Bonneau, Curtis Reid Brice (Sonya) of North Charleston and Alfred Dean Yates (Brenda) of Beaver Dam; and his nephews, Nookie Wright, Sidney Wright and Jerry Wright. He is also survived by six grandchildren; twenty‑nine great‑grandchildren; and two great‑great‑grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the St. Stephen Baptist Cemetery (292 Hood St, St Stephen, SC 29479).
