He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Melvin McGee, Sr. and Minnie Strickland McGee; his son Winford McGee; and his wives, Alberta DuBose McGee and Lula Jo Altman McGee.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Thompson (Barry) of Bowman, Pamela Taylor (Dale) of Moncks Corner and Gloria Huff of Moncks Corner; and his stepchildren, Nancy Bunt of Moncks Corner, Larry Altman (Jean) of Moncks Corner, Danny Altman (Muriel) of Baltimore, Andy Altman (Kathy) of Moncks Corner and Allen Altman of Moncks Corner. He is also survived by six grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests memorials be made in his honor to Fields of the Wood, c/o Greater Heights Church of God of Prophecy, 2625 S. Live Oak Dr., Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
