He was predeceased by: his parents, William Winford and Gloria Ruddel Carson; his brother Royce Carson; his brother-in-law Dale Frye; and his mother-in-law Miriam Kinard.
He is survived by: his wife Kaye Carson; his daughters, Kayla Carson Smoak (Jonathan) of Bluffton and Windi Carson (Aaron Chavis) of Bamberg; the parent of his children Kay Clary; his grandchildren, Kroy Smoak and Krew Smoak; his stepson Jamey Mitchell (Stephanie); and his grandson Cade Mitchell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooner Funeral Home (287 Mc Gee St, Bamberg, SC 29003). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bamberg First Baptist Church (11823 Heritage Hwy, Bamberg, SC 29003).
