He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia "Peep" Myers Wimberly and Joseph Wendell Wimberly, Sr.; and his son Joseph Wendall Wimberly III. He is survived by: his wife Naomi Wimberly; his daughter Stephanie Heffelfinger (Blaine); his grandchildren, Riggs Heffelfinger (Trista) and Jordon Fortana (Nick); and his great grandchildren, Josie Fortana and Austin Fortana. He is also survived by his family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society.
