He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy McAlhany and Floydell McAlhany; his brother Gene McAlhany; and his father-in-law Nathan Hood. He is survived by: his wife Dana H. McAlhany; his children, Cameron McAlhany and Reagan McAlhany; his son-in-law Kadden Irick; his mother-in-law Joanne Hood; his siblings-in-law, Mark Hood (Codie) and Jennie McAlhany; his nieces, Sharon McAlhany Drafts (Kenny) and Karen McAlhany Drawdy; his great-nephews, Adam Smith, Luke and John Drawdy; and his close friends, Jeffrey and Brenda Fogle.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cattle Creek Community Church (122 Campground Cir, Rowesville, SC 29133). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer's Research Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Lawrence.
