She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Barney and Nellie Rhames Wise; her grandson Davis Deon Holladay; and her siblings, Lucille W. Frye, Evelyn W. Smith, Lena W. DuBose, J. B. Wise, Jr. and Willard W. Wise.

She is survived by : her children, J. V. Holladay (JoAnn), Swintz Holladay (Ruth), Jackie Holladay (Joyce) and Cynthia Atkinson (Donnie); her grandchildren, Karen Holladay Sullivan, James Holladay (Dana), Carol A. Holladay, Bran Holladay, Lee Holladay (Leslye), Stephen Holladay (Sarah), David Holladay, Jack Holladay, Jr. (Brooke) and Lisa Atkinson Potter (Jim); and her siblings-in-law, Pete Holladay (Joanne) and Christine Holladay. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and a soon-to-be great-great grandchild.
