She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Wayne Dixon; her parents, Cheshire Gambrell and Vera Ashley Gambrell; and her siblings, Nancy Prince and Gene Gambrell.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Dixon (Tonya), Keith Johnson (Crystal) and Sandra Carter; and her siblings, Jeannette Jennings, Ann Fleming, Molly Hughes, Polly Knight and Tommy Gambrell. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
