It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aimee Kornegay of Camden, South Carolina, born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on March 20, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Aimee Urquhart and Jesse T. Reese, Jr.; and her husband John D. Kornegay. She is survived by : her children, Aimee "Petey" Kornegay Nelson (Brian) of Virginia, Van Metre Kornegay and John Dunbar Kornegay, Jr.; her siblings, Judith Reese Nye of Columbia, SC, Mary Reese Burnside of Blythewood, SC and Jesse T. Reese, III of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren, Aimee Davy (Bill), John Anderson Thompson, III (Kat), James Kornegay Thompson (Addie), John Dunbar Kornegay, III and Mary Reese "Reesie" Kornegay Maracich (Eddie); her great grandchildren, Anderson, Mary Addis, Pierce Thompson, Louise, Hardy Thompson, Masey and Ford Maracich; and her caregivers, Codi, Dorothy, Lameka and Tee.
