He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Eugene Carter and Louisa Carter Oxendine. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Stacks Carter; his daughters, Aislyn Carter Melton (Zack) and Kristen Hope Carter; his stepson William Dawson Hinson; and his grandchildren, Stevie Michelle Melton and Rhys Salem Melton. He is also survived by 3 half-sisters, numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hermitage Baptist Church in Camden, SC or to the churchs family life center, in honor of Mr. Carter.
