He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Stollings James and John E. James; and his siblings, Dean, Anna, Sultana (Sue), Catherine, Nicholas and George James.
He is survived by: his children, Lana James Faulk (CJ), Dinita Shawn Whipple (Tommy) and Demetrius Clifford James Jr. (Misty). He is also survived by his family, including three children, ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
