He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Butler Broughton, Jr. and Edith Ann Hinson; his son Jerry Brad Broughton; and his brother Bruce Broughton. He is survived by : his wife Betty Carraway Broughton; his daughter Jerrilyn Manning (Rex) of Georgia; his stepdaughters, Patricia Moran (Kevin) and Donna Stokes (Chad); his grandchildren, Marty Manning, Chase Manning, Samantha Stokes, Lawson Stokes, Caroline Moran and Connor Moran; his great grandchildren, Hayden Manning, Parker Manning and Ava Manning; and his sister Alice Broughton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Camden.
