He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Nixon and Myrtle E. Nixon; his significant other Elfriede Blask Nixon; and his siblings, George Nixon, Willard Nixon, Dillard Nixon, Dorothy Nixon, Roy Nixon and Lavenia Holcomb.

He is survived by : his granddaughters, Jessica Geiger (Derrick) and Katie McManus (Josh); his great grandchildren, Ella Geiger, Claire Geiger and Hank Geiger; and his friends, Susan Letchworth, Olivia and Martin Caudill. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kershaw County Humane Society, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020.
