She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Bertha Stokes and Willie Stokes; her siblings, Mary Stokes Davis, Ann Stokes Huggins and William Henry Stokes; her children, Patricia Ann Mims (John) of Columbia, SC and James Brantley King Jr. of Edisto Beach, SC.; her grandchildren, Sheila Mims (Phil), Sherri Mims (Marc Anglade) and Jason King (Jori); and her great grandchildren, Justin Mims, Sydney Mims, Greyson King and Sawyer King.
