He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson Trapp and Elizabeth Maxcy Trapp; his brother Maxcy Greg Trapp; and his former wife Lois Carraway Trapp. He is survived by: his wife Doddie Shealy Trapp; his children, Jennifer Trapp Robinson (Richard) of Matthews, NC and William A. Trapp (April) of Camden; his stepdaughter Tiffany Rabon (Shelly) of Cassatt; his grandchildren, Austin, Kelley, Caitlin, Anna, Isabel, Carly, Olivia, Savannah and Shelly; his great grandchild Elijah; and his sister Linda Davis (Marshall) of Darlington.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel (1112 Fair St, Camden, SC 29020). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at the Quaker Cemetery (713 Meeting St, Camden, SC 29020). A burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at the same location.
