With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy West of Campobello, South Carolina, who passed away on August 15, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy West to pay them a last tribute.

Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her husband Charner Brooks West; her parents, Almond Atkins and Julia Odessa Atkins; and her brother Cohen Atkins. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy West of Campobello, Karen West of Myrtle Beach and Janet West King of Myrtle Beach; and her grandchildren, Kathleen King Smith (Gregg) of Myrtle Beach, Lorrie King of Washington, DC and Joseph King, III of Miami, FL..
