She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Higgins (Byrd) and Charlie Lee Higgins; her spouse Jerry Arnold Cox; and her daughter Norma Elaine Sprouse. She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Poss of Inman, SC, Jeri Chastain of Inman, SC and James Cox of Gulfport, MS.; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Quarles, Marc Ezell, Brian Childers, Pam Morton, Andrew Cox and Regina Metcalf. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.
