He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Leach and Alma Leach; his siblings, Dianne Loop and Robert Leach; and his son-in-law Eric Shell.

He is survived by : his daughters, Amanda Shell and Sherry Ray (David); his grandchildren, Ansley Shell, Landon Shell and Ashlynn Ray; and his daughter Mary Leach. He is also survived by former wife, mother of his children, and lifelong friend.
