It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Y Thayer of Cayce, South Carolina, born in Seneca, South Carolina, who passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, J. B. Youngblood and Sara Cater Youngblood; her husband Charles R. Thayer, Sr.; her son Charles R. Thayer, Jr.; and her granddaughter Sharon Aultman.

She is survived by : her daughters, Paula McDonald (Ray) and Wanda Weaver (Jesse); her siblings, Pauline Shuford, Margaret Mickalis, Bill Youngblood and Henry Youngblood; and her friend Evelyn. She is also survived by grandchildren; seventeen (17) great-grandchildren and two (2) great-great-grandchildren.
