We bid farewell to James V. Covington Jr. (Cayce, South Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 17, 2025 at the age of 80. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, James V. Covington and Lola Fore Covington; his brothers, Luke (Annelle Covington) and Rick (Helen Covington); his nephew Clay Weeks; and his brother-in-law Glenn Hyatt.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela L. Covington; his siblings, Vickie Hyatt of Dillon and Morris; and his sister-in-law Judith Weeks of Canton, GA. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews; fifteen great nieces and nephews; two great great nephews; and three great great nieces.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:20 PM at the Holland Avenue Baptist Church (801 12th St, Cayce, SC 29033). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
