She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Clyde Stalvey, Sr. and Vivian Rouse Stalvey; her son Stanley Carter; and her brothers, Clyde Stalvey Jr., Dorrance Stalvey and Tom Stalvey.
She is survived by: her spouse Fletcher Carter of Georgetown; and her children, Raleigh Carter Jr. (Karen), Kevin Carter (Cheryl), Terrill Carter (Nancy) and Merrilynn Spires (Earl). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Broadacres Baptist Church (2350 Taylor Rd, Cayce, SC 29033). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
