He was predeceased by: his parents, Amelia Wingard and Johnnie "Red" Gardner. He is survived by: his brothers, John (Vicky), Mark (Donna) and David (Vicki); his siblings' children, Billy, Patrick (Sarah), Jason Gardner and Beth Gardner Jones (Lee); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jackson Gardner, Cecilia Gardner, Owen Harrell and Sinclair Walker; and his cousins, Robby White (Chrissy), Joye Tate (Randy), Ray White (Carri) and Mike Wingard (Flo).
