He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Stewart. He is survived by: his father Lonnie Stewart; his grandchild Kim; his wife Brenda; his children, Jim (Ellen) and Kim; his sister Rita; and his caregivers, JoAnn Lamb, Yacqueline Martinez, Tiffany Harrison, Stephanie Means and Edneshia Jones. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home (4720 Augusta Rd, Lexington, SC 29073). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Transfiguration Lutheran Church (1301 12th St, Cayce, SC 29033). An entombment was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Woodridge Memorial Park (138 Corley Mill Rd, Lexington, SC 29072).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Lutheran Men in Mission of Transfiguration Lutheran Church.
