He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Bowen and Mary Bowen; his sisters, Eucal Bowen and Lucille Powell; his son Kevin Bowen; and his grandson Mathew Bowen.
He is survived by: his wife Brigitte Bowen; his children, Steve Bowen (Rossie), Jeffrey Bowen and Beverly Wyka (Mike); his stepson Michael Jett (Liz); and his grandchildren, Brad Bowen, Casey Bowen (Amy), Nikki Bowman, Rachel Wyka, Cameron Bowen, Andrew Wyka, Cody Bowen, Jordan Meyerand (Eric) and Alex Jett. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to NC State College of Textile Engineering, in memory of Willie Charles Bowen.
