With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Miley in Chapin, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 12, 2026 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Barbara leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Barbara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Emerson Miley, Jr.; and her son Gerald Emerson Miley III. She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanne Melton (Edward), Babbie Jaco (Jeff), Elizabeth Basil (David) and Anna Adelman (Steven); and her sister June Erwin. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Grace Episcopal Church in Camden, St Jude's Church in Walterboro, Lutheran Hospice of Chapin, or a charity of one's choice.
