She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Bates; and her parents, Owen Pearle and Evelyn Pearle. She is survived by: her sons, Gregory Bates of Summerville, SC and Owen "Jeff" Bates (Megan) of Summerville, SC; her sister Freda Mixson (Ronald) of Goose Creek, SC; and her grandchildren, Jamison, Millie Kate and Wesley.
