She was predeceased by : her parents, Emil H. Rud and Mildred L. Bernhagen; and her brother Denis. She is survived by : her siblings, Terry, Arlinda, Allen, Sharon, Ritchie, Bonita, Patty, Curtis, Darla, Tammy, Kim, Kerry, Donald and Cheryl.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Karen's memory.
