It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathryn Benton Rivers (Chapin, South Carolina), who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Belton O'Neal Benton and Annie Boyd Benton. She is survived by: her husband James "Jimmy" Rivers; her children, Allen (Lynn), Margaret (Ken) and Paul (Wendy); her siblings, Robert, Anna and Mildred; her grandson Guy Spence; her sister Mary Hucks; and her caregivers, Eva, Geralyn, Debra and Anna Caldwell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews she loved.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapin Christian Community Church (415 Lexington Ave, Chapin, SC 29036-8092). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that all donations be made to Chapin Christian Community Church, 415 Lexington Ave, Chapin, SC, 29036, in loving memory of Mrs. Kathryn Benton Rivers.
