It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin G. Petersen of Chapin, South Carolina, born in Virginia, Nebraska, who passed away on May 4, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark L. Petersen and Hanna R. Petersen. He is survived by: his wife Shirley H. Petersen; his children, Kathy Anderson (Arlen) of Chapin and Mark Petersen of Lexington; and his grandchildren, Kendall Anderson and Alex Miller. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
