Samuel Mathias Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on August 11, 2025, at the age of 74, Samuel Mathias of Chapin, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David "Jack" Mathias and Margaret C. Mathias; his siblings, Donna Mathias Boland and David James Mathias, Jr.; his nephews, William Christopher Herron-Stowell, Jack Mathias Herron and David James Mathias, III; and his son-in-law Brian Christopher Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Lisa Cook Mathias; his children, Heather Mathias Davis, Sharon Ashley Mathias and Samuel Ryan Mathias (Meagan); his stepson James "Jimmy" Leslie Hardee (Marlena); his grandsons, Chase Watson Davis, Mattox Christopher Davis, Bradyn "Brady" Pierce Davis, Dylan Michael Upton, Nickolas Avery Hinton and Jackson Everett Hardee; his brother William "Willie" Covil Mathias (Bonnie); and his pets, Ashley and Bobby Boucher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
