He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jeanette Cantrell; his grandchildren, Shelby Thrower, Darby Thrower and Gabriel Thrower; and his great grandchildren, Henry Thrower, Monroe Thrower and Waylon Thrower. He was also cherished by His wife also provided him with three stepsons, and 7 extra grandchildren.
