She was predeceased by : her parents, Jennie Lee Barber Stephens and Milas Oliver Stephens; her sisters, Dorothy S Dawson and Bettye S Hieber; and her daughter Peggy Graham Sanderson.

She is survived by : her daughter Stephanie A. Kramer (Edward Kramer) of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Christina Ashley Schaefer, Franklin Andrew Schaefer of Charleston, SC, Stephen Mark Dugan and Denise Allison Dugan of Va; and her great grandchild Mikayla Schaefer Walston of Charleston, SC..

A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Live Oak Memorial Gardens (3093 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Kidney Foundation (https://www.kidney.org) in Barbara's honor or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of her daughter Peggy.
