She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Johnston Feldman and Dr. Leon H. Feldman. She is survived by: her significant other Don Backer; her sons, Stuart (Dina) and Sam (Susan); her grandchildren, Eric (Olivia), Sydney Backer Hirsch (Spencer), Molly Backer and Ezra Backer; her great grandchildren, Mina Jane Backer and Sophie Scott Backer; and her nephew Barry Friedman.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Emanu-El Cemetery (Maryville) (60 Sycamore Ave, Charleston, SC 29407).
