She was predeceased by: her parents, Fleming Bristow Ewing and Belle Duncan Ewing. She is survived by: her husband Roderick Smith of Charleston, SC; her sons, Roderick Dean Smith (Jennifer) of Greenville, SC and Kevin Bristow Smith (Emily) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her sister Judith E. Metts (George) of Charleston, SC; and her grandchildren, Sam Smith, Jake Smith and Harley Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
