She was predeceased by: her husband Charles SImmons, Jr.; her parents, Mary Marie Young and Moses Roper, Sr.; her siblings, Thelma Ravenal, Moses Roper, Jr. and Rosa Mae Roper; and her siblings-in-law, Pat Foote and Nathaniel "Billy" Simmons.
She is survived by: her son Trevor Simmons; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Conyers Simmons; her grandchildren, Kahlan Marie Simmons, Charles Benjamin Simmons and Dominique Isiah Simmons; her siblings, Geraldine Jenkins and Andrea Young; her parents-in-law, Queen Esther Simmons and Charles Junior Simmons; and her sisters-in-law, Quinette Simmons and Caroline Simmons. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
