She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert Grimm and Rose Mae White Grimm; her husband Frederick Adam Schempp, Jr.; and her siblings, Patricia Calandro and Larry Grimm.
She is survived by: her children, Frederick Adam Schempp, III (Nora) and Gayle Schempp Scott (Bo); and her grandchildren, Frederick Adam Schempp, IV, Robert Thomas Schempp, Vanya Valeria Scott and Katerina Anzhela Scott. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Betty's memory to Fort Johnson Baptist Church, James Island, SC.
