She is survived by: her son Melvin Howard, III; her grandchildren, Troy Richardson, Ashley Prizzie, Shakayla Prizzie and Takasia Prizzie; and her siblings, Nathaniel Taylor, Mary Hurst (Lewis), Inez Westpoint, William Richardson, Jr. (Sharon), David Richardson (Shamonda) and Belle Garnett (Michael).
