With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Winona Knight of Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on December 25, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alexander Mims and Lila Bruorton Mims (Bruorton); her siblings, Mildred Shastain, Virginia McGowan, David Timothy Mims and James Alexander Mims (Bubba); and her children, Richard Daniel Knight (Danny) and Virginia Peach (Kathy).

She is survived by: her brother William Josiah "Joe" Mims of Mt. Pleasant; her daughter Terrie Lynn Arends of Charleston, SC; and her grandchildren, Shawn Knight (Mark) of Summerville, Justin Arends of Goose Creek, Amber Knight of Cross, Danniell, Elizabeth Knight of Charleston and Crystal Hammonds of Goose Creek. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
