He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Schofield Richter of Parkinson's Wednesday; and his parents, Randolph Noe Richter, Sr. and Hannah Phillips Richter. He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki Elizabeth Richter (Jeff Osburn) and Carol Ann Coleman; and his grandchildren, Charlie (Toshie), Lee (Stacey), Chris (Lauren), Sara (Mike) and Lisa (Gary). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
