He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Travis Hooks and Beverly Robinson Hooks; his daughter Kristina Kirby Hooks; and his granddaughter Chelsea Amber Tumbleston. He is survived by: his daughter Kelley Hooks Fox (David); his siblings, Carol Christine Hooks Pugliese (Roger) and Travis Andrew Hooks; his grandchildren, Nicholas Adam Hooks and Kaela Noell Hartsell (Julia); and his great grandchild Chelsea Amber Hartsell. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
