She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hager Johnson and Victoria Hay Johnson; her former husband Chief W. E. Guthke; her children, Nancy Guthke Jones and Bill Guthke; and her sisters, Georgeanna Albers (Paul) and June Gilbert (Robert).
She is survived by: her husband Wilmot; her son-in-law Ted W. Jones; her caregiver Julia D. Jones; and her grandchildren, Earl Guthke, Robbie Guthke, Ryan Guthke (Stephanie) and Brandi Clark (Patrick). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel (232 Calhoun St, Charleston, SC 29401). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Citadel Square Baptist Church (328 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29403). A burial was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens (1308 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464).
Memorial donations can be made in Delora's memory to Citadel Square Baptist Church or Water Mission.
