He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Alderman and Eva Martin; his brother Thomas Alderman; and his son-in-law Jerry Crosby. He is survived by: his children, Missy Avant (David), Donna Crosby, Christopher Ware (Barbara) and Alan Ware (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Cole, Ryan, Brett, Lexi, Dondi, Ethan, Hayley, Jeremiah, Jonas and Anna; his great grandchildren, Colby and Spencer; and his sister Peggy Williams (Owen).

Memorials may be made to the Trinity Bible Church Building Fund.
