Wells and Bettye Monteith Wells; his brothers, Phil Wells (Connie) of Charleston, SC and Monty Wells (Gail) of Bel Air, Maryland.; his wife Karen Elizabeth Melonas of Columbia, SC; and his children, Douglas M. Wells, Jr. and Hali Elizabeth Wells. He was also cherished by many sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
