She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hamilton Nutt and Elizabeth Pilcher Nutt; her husband Clement Lowrey Stafford, Jr.; her brother Robert Hamilton Nutt, Jr.; and her son-in-law Gaillard Townsend Dotterer.
She is survived by: her children, Clement Lowrey Stafford III (Libby) of Greensboro and Barbara Stafford Dotterer of Wadmalaw Island; her stepson Douglas Graves Matthews (Theresa) of New Orleans; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Stafford White (Ian) of Charlotte, Jacquelyn Stafford Tugwell (Matt) of Charlotte and Thomas Stafford Graham (Sage) of Statesboro, GA; her brother William Virden Nutt (Sue); and her sister-in-law Aurelia Fulton Stafford. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
