She was predeceased by: her son Brian Swygert; her siblings, Eloise Aldous and Edward Spivey; and her parents, Walter Riley Spivey and Pearl Mishoe Spivey.
She is survived by: her husband John Swygert; her children, Lee Morgan (Leslie), Robin Moody (Gary) and Bannigan (Patrick); her daughter-in-law Gerry Swygert; her grandchildren, Rhett Morgan (Marie), Preston Morgan and Summer Bannigan; and her great grandchildren, Oliver and Leo Morgan.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church (714 Riverdale Dr, Charleston, SC 29407).
